TO BE VERB

  • Used to say something about a person, thing or animal, to show a permanent or temporary quality, state, job, etc.

  • You can use to be verb to make different statements.
  • You can use to be verb in contractions. Contractions are used to abbreviate some words.
SUBJECT + VERB + COMPLEMENT

I + am + a teacher.

AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES CONTRACTIONS

I am a teacher. I’m a teacher.

You are a teacher. You’re a teacher.

He is a teacher. He’s a teacher.
